Our mission: To develop our young men into responsible and productive men who are concerned not only about themselves, but also family-oriented, and involved in their community.
We accomplish our mission by incorporating the following into our program:
- Leadership training
- Teaching life skills
- Providing strong male mentors
- Exposing them to positive role models
- Goal setting
- Financial literacy workshops
- Exposing the young men to education, and trade school options
- Exposing the young men to various careers
- Teaching habits of effective teens
- Mock interviews
- Community service
- Entrepreneurial training
When and how often do we meet?
We meet weekly as a group beginning in October through May of the following year. Our meetings are a combination of in-person sessions, and remote/virtual sessions via Zoom. Mentoring is mostly at a group level.
Qualifications to become a Mentee:
- Must be a male
- Between ages of 9-18
- Mentee must consistently be respectful to mentors & those in authority
- Must complete a mentee application each year and submit it
- Parent/Guardian is willing to provide quarterly report card or progress reports
- Attend at least 75% of mentoring sessions
